Don't let his name scare you — Devil Dinosaur is actually a gentle giant. But with razor-sharp fangs, a mighty sweeping tail, a thunderous roar, and a force-field shield gifted by his human partner Moon Girl, it's no wonder why heroes and villains alike are intimidated by this prehistoric powerhouse!

How to Play Devil Dinosaur in Marvel Rivals: 5 Key Tips

  • Apply bleed first, then build everything around it: Bleed is the heart of his entire kit. His primary attack, Primal Bite, sticks a bleed effect on enemies that drains their health over time, and almost everything else he does gets stronger against targets who are already bleeding. Apply bleed first with your primary or secondary fire, then combo targets with Savage Predation and Frenzied Feast. Get into the habit of spreading bleed across the enemy frontline early in a fight rather than tunneling on one target. The more enemies bleeding, the more bonus health you generate and the more damage your follow-ups do.
  • Play the frontline, not the backline dive: He looks like a dive tank, but he isn't one. One mistake to avoid is assuming that because he is huge and tanky, he should constantly dive deep into enemy lines. He only has one mobility option, and you do not want to waste it recklessly by jumping into the enemy backline without a proper plan. The smarter approach is to brawl on the frontline while staying close enough to your Strategists to get healed. He is a very aggressive tank who needs to be played aggressively, but that aggression works best when it's anchored near your support. Without consistent heals, that big body melts fast.
  • Use the grab to isolate and displace enemies: His jaw clamp is unusually strong crowd control for a tank. You can clamp an enemy in his jaws and hold them, and while grabbed the target is effectively removed from the fight. They cannot attack, reposition, or use abilities. The best play here is to grab a bleeding enemy and throw them back into your team's territory, cutting them off from their healers so your team can finish the kill. Pairing this with his shield to deny the target any support makes it a quick way to delete someone out of position.
  • Punish flyers with your ranged option: A lot of melee tanks get kited by flying heroes. Devil Dinosaur doesn't have that problem. His anti-air ability is currently one of the strongest in the game, and you can use it to knock flying enemies out of the sky before they get going. Managing the charge on that skill lets you ground characters like Human Torch, Storm, Ultron, and Angela before they can even start their pressure. Keep it in your back pocket specifically for enemy flyers rather than spamming it as a poke tool.
  • Don't ult alone, and use the speed to hunt the backline: His ultimate is powerful but it isn't a solo win button. Check that your team has your back before activating it, then use the speed boost and reduced cooldowns to run down the enemy backline. Stay constantly moving during the rampage to maximize your stomp shockwaves, keep bleed uptime high, and apply the slow debuff. Going in without follow-up just makes you a giant, predictable target.
