How to Play Elsa Bloodstone in Marvel Rivals: 5 Key Tips

  • Treat movement as your damage setup, not just an escape - This is the single most important thing about her kit. She switches to her monster-hunting rifle, which deals increased damage for one shot after using any movement ability, which means movement skills and dashes are the key to unlocking her deadliest combos. So don't burn your dash purely to run away. Dash, then immediately fire the empowered rifle shot for a big chunk of damage. Building the habit of pairing every movement ability with a follow-up shot is what separates a good Elsa from a mediocre one.
  • Keep your Hunting Instinct stacks alive - Her whole rhythm speeds up the longer she stays in the fight. As the fight goes on her instinct sharpens, letting her reduce her movement skill's cooldown by hitting enemies, but if she dies she loses the increased instinct stacks. That makes staying alive doubly valuable, because death doesn't just cost you respawn time, it resets your momentum. Elims and your trap gain instinct the fastest, but all damage generates it too, so you don't have to play overly risky trying to force kills. Chip damage keeps the engine running.
  • Hunt the tanks, not just the squishies - It's tempting to play her like a typical assassin, but her gun is built for big targets. She likes to hunt big game, and her favored targets are the largest of them all, the Vanguards. Some Vanguards have poor mobility, and that lack of mobility can easily be exploited by Elsa. Her elephant gun has piercing damage that chews through health bars, and she mostly plays front-to-back, knocking out tanks first, while her mobility lets her peel away from dive Vanguards. Pressuring a slow, immobile tank is often a better use of your kit than chasing a slippery backline hero.
  • Use your trap to create a kill zone - Her creature trap is a setup tool, not a panic button. Enemies caught in it get immobilized, which gives you and your team a free window to unload. This ability makes her a key player in team fights, since she can initiate combos or help disengage by creating space for herself and her teammates. Drop it in chokepoints or right where you expect an enemy to push, then punish anyone who steps into it. Treat the trapped enemy as a marked target and focus fire.
  • Mind your positioning, because she's squishy - She hits hard but folds fast if she gets caught. The key to mastering her is nailing down positioning, because as a Duelist she's quite squishy and gets eviscerated by the likes of Deadpool, Psylocke, and Wolverine. She performs best when she controls distance and avoids prolonged close-range fights, holding sightlines and punishing enemies who overextend rather than constantly pushing forward. Think like a hunter picking the right moment to engage, not a brawler diving into the middle of everything.
